The bellboy interrupted, "Mr. Trillian, your cab is here! I'll put your bags in the trunk."
As Juliana rose from her chair she told Sean, "I'm very hungry; I hope we get to the restaurant soon!"
Sean patted his stomach, "Yea, this undercover work can create an appetite."
"No, it's the hiking and the clean air," Juliana argued as they made their way out of the lounge.
Sean held the door for Juliana, and as they both slid into the back, the driver turned and asked, "Where to?"
"Do you know the Sky Top in town?" asked Sean.
"It's a restaurant near the docks," the driver said with confidence.
"Take us there. Is there a bus depot or some place we can find a locker in that area?"
"There's the bus and ship passenger terminal; must be hundreds of lockers there," answered the driver as he pulled into traffic.
"OK, then take us there first," said Sean.
When they reached the main road, Juliana pulled out her cellular phone, "I think we should check in with the agency. I'd rather send them a report but I don't have the time to set up my computer and e-mail it." Getting no response from Sean, she asked, "Wouldn't you feel better if we kept in touch with the office?"
"Yes, but let's do it when we get to the terminal," Sean agreed grudgingly. He looked at his watch, " 'Tis noon, so we have four hours before we can board the ship. That should give us enough time to check out the docks."
Juliana's attention drifted to the buildings and construction sites along the highway. "What are the main industries in town?" she asked the driver.
"Well, the most obvious are the oil plants."
"Any others?"
"I guess the next would be fishing and food packing, or maybe the tourist industry," said the driver, shrugging his shoulders.
"Are there any older industries or plants that may have been shut down recently?" Juliana asked, pressing for more information.
"Er..er..there was the old paper mill that closed years ago, and of course the air base that shut down, but now is used for some private flights." The driver was fidgeting and beginning to sweat.
"Take it easy my dear," Sean looked at Juliana, "give the man a break."
The driver pulled up to the curb. "This is the terminal and through those doors you will find plenty of lockers."
Sean looked at the $11.55 on the meter, and handed the driver $15 from his bill clip. "Here you are, that should cover all your trouble," he said sliding out of the car and holding the door for Juliana.
"Thanks," the driver answered opening the trunk. "These are yours."
Sean snatched the bags from the trunk. "Here you take this one," he said, handing a blue suitcase to Juliana.
